According to the 2024 annual report of the 21 largest companies in Vietnam, the percentage of female employees in heavy industry and technology is much lower than that of men. Hoà Phát Group (HPG) has only 12% female employees, PV GAS 21%, and Vinamilk 24.8%. In contrast, banks have a high proportion of women, nearly 60%, with Sacombank as an exception at only 48.28%. At Vingroup, despite having only 37.3% of female employees, women hold 59% of management positions due to Pham Nhat Vuong’s leadership philosophy. Meanwhile, Vinhomes has only 28.7% female management. Masan Group shows a high percentage of female employees, but less than 50% in leadership roles. Although the finance sector attracts many female talents, their advancement opportunities remain limited. An ILO report shows that Vietnamese women are numerous in the workforce but only occupy 1/4 of leadership positions.
