The 2024 report shows that among the 21 largest companies in Vietnam, female staff only account for 37.3% at Vingroup, yet they hold 59% of leadership positions. The banking sector leads in female representation, while Sacombank has the lowest at 48.28%. Despite many banks having high female staff rates, the path to leadership remains fraught with challenges. Companies like Masan Group and Vinhomes similarly show lower female representation in management despite a high number of female employees. According to the ILO, Vietnamese women have high labor participation but hold only a quarter of leadership roles, attributed to family responsibilities and inequality in development opportunities. This reflects the need for gender balance in the workplace.
