The 2024 annual report reveals that among the 21 largest corporations in Vietnam, 11 have low female staff ratios, especially in heavy industries. In contrast, the banking sector has a high female workforce of about 60%, with Sacombank at only 48.28% female employees. At Vingroup, women account for 37.3% of total staff but hold 59% of managerial positions, reflecting Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong’s emphasis on female leadership. However, not all subsidiaries like Vinhomes or Masan Group demonstrate gender balance in management. Despite women constituting over 70% of the labor force, they still face inequalities, holding only about 25% of leadership positions. This disparity is linked to “double burden,” impacting their career advancement.
