Chairman of Hoa Phat Group, Tran Dinh Long, called for prioritizing the use of domestic products in public investment projects to support local enterprises and execute the policy of “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods.” He emphasized that local enterprises are expanding production and ready to participate in national programs for social housing and infrastructure. He also suggested that the government needs to have transparent bidding mechanisms and timely responses to the EU’s increased steel import taxes. At the conference, the General Director of Petrovietnam and the General Director of EVN expressed their wish for the government to promote state-owned enterprise development and emphasized the role of businesses in the economy. The Chairman of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises also proposed establishing a specialized digital bank for small businesses to enhance access to capital. The conference was chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to mark Vietnamese Business Day, involving many prominent business leaders.
