Chairman of Hoa Phat Trần Đình Long hopes State investment projects will prioritize using domestic goods

On October 9th in Hanoi, during the meeting with representatives of enterprises on Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day, Hoa Phat Group Chairman Trần Đình Long shared about the development of Vietnam’s steel industry. From being the 6th in ASEAN with a production of only 1 million tons in 1995, Vietnam’s steel industry has now risen to 11th in the world and leads Southeast Asia. Mr. Long called for the government to speed up the implementation of the resolution on developing the private economy, quickly resolve businesses’ petitions so as not to miss opportunities. He also emphasized that the EU’s tariff increase on steel imports will affect Vietnam’s exports, hence the government needs timely response policies. Importantly, he hopes state investment projects will prioritize domestic goods to support Vietnamese enterprises. Hoa Phat commits to participating in national programs such as infrastructure development and social housing.
