Tycoon Pham Nhat Vuong Sets Another Unprecedented Record in Vietnam, Even Ranking in the Top 2 Worldwide

On October 13, shares of VIC from Vingroup increased by 4.7%, hitting 201,100 VND/share, with over 2 million shares traded. Tycoon Pham Nhat Vuong’s wealth rose by $680 million in one day, placing him second globally for the largest wealth increase, only behind tycoon Prajogo Pangestu. He currently holds $18.8 billion and ranks 126th worldwide. The total value of VIC shares held by him and his family is nearly 491 trillion VND. Vuong directly owns 390 million shares, valued at around 74.9 trillion VND, while his wife and son also hold significant amounts of shares. Related companies like Vietnam Investment Group hold up to 1.26 billion shares, accounting for 32.5% of the equity. Vuong’s wealth surpasses the combined wealth of the next 19 individuals in Vietnam’s stock market rankings.
