JPMorgan’s digital assets chief confirms bank will participate in crypto trading, custody services not in plans

On October 13, 2025, JPMorgan stated it will engage in crypto trading but has no current plans to provide custody services. Instead, they are exploring third-party custodians as institutional interest in Bitcoin escalates.

As more banks lift restrictions on Bitcoin, the interest in crypto among institutions is rising. There is a notable trend of crypto exchanges working with countries to accumulate Bitcoin as part of their national reserves.
