On October 20th, the Vietnamese stock market experienced a record drop, with the VN-Index down 5.47% (94.76 points) to 1,636.43 points. Numerous stocks, especially those of billionaires, fell to their lowest prices, resulting in significant losses for them. Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong saw his assets decrease by 20.4 trillion VND (4.5%), while other billionaires like Tran Dinh Long, Ho Hung Anh, and Nguyen Dang Quang also lost thousands of billions VND. Specifically, Tran Dinh Long lost 3.9 trillion, Ho Hung Anh 2.1 trillion, and Nguyen Dang Quang 1.9 trillion VND. Meanwhile, female billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao lost 400 billion VND (1%). According to Forbes, Pham Nhat Vuong lost 728 million USD and became the billionaire with the largest daily drop globally. Overall, it was a difficult day for many investors in the market.
