On October 22nd, DeFi lending protocol Aave announced its partnership with Maple to introduce syrupUSDT as new collateral for loans. This strategy aims to bring institutional assets into decentralized finance.
Aave lends around 25 billion USD on the Ethereum network, accounting for 82% of the total debt, with about 1,000 daily borrowers actively utilizing its services.
