Important Notice for Vietnam Airlines Passengers: Forgetting This Could Cost You Up to 600,000 VND at the Boarding Gate

According to the new regulations from Vietnam Airlines, passengers must pay attention to check their carry-on luggage before boarding to avoid fees. Starting October 2025, carry-on luggage exceeding the standards can only be accepted if not over 10kg above the allowed limit and must be manageable by the passenger. If requirements are not met, fees will be charged at the boarding gate, corresponding to the cost of checked baggage (HLKG). Specifically, if luggage exceeds the maximum weight of 10kg or is over one piece, the fee will be 600,000 VND/piece for domestic flights. If dimensions exceed the standard, the fee will correspond to oversized luggage. Payments can be made via card or cash, depending on the airport.
