Important highway connecting Mekong Delta with Ho Chi Minh City raises fees, investor pockets 130 billion VND in revenue annually

Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (CII) has adjusted the increase of tolls on the Trung Luong – My Thuan expressway by 15–20%, depending on the type of vehicle. Specifically, the toll for vehicles with less than 12 seats has increased from 1,818 VND/km to 2,091 VND/km; while tolls for 40-foot containers have increased from 5,909 VND/km to 6,382 VND/km (excluding VAT). This fee adjustment is expected to help the project add approximately 130 billion VND in annual revenue.
In the third quarter of 2025, CII reported net revenue of 714 billion VND, a 36% decrease in net profit to 56 billion VND compared to the same period in 2024. For the first nine months of 2025, net revenue totaled 2,141 billion VND, down by 6%, and net profit dropped 55% to 241 billion VND compared to 533 billion VND in the same period of the previous year. As of October 30, CII’s stock closed at 24,400 VND/share, with a market capitalization of 15,200 billion VND.
