Microsoft and IREN finalize AI cloud services contract valued at 9.7 billion USD

Microsoft has entered a landmark 9.7 billion USD agreement with IREN Ltd., making it the company’s largest customer. This partnership will harness NVIDIA’s advanced systems to meet Microsoft’s AI workload needs.

Under the agreement, Microsoft will pay 20% upfront. IREN plans to invest 5.8 billion USD in GPUs and equipment from Dell to support the deal.

IREN anticipates the deal will generate around 1.94 billion USD in annual revenue, utilizing 10% of its total computing power, setting the stage for future growth.
