PAN Group sells Bibica to Indonesian conglomerate after 8 years of control battle with Lotte

PAN Group has completed the sale of Bibica to Sari Murni Abadi (SMA), an Indonesian consumer goods group, on October 28, 2025. After 8 years of control, this transaction marks PAN’s exit from the Vietnamese candy market and opens the door for SMA to penetrate this sector. Bibica, with over 100,000 retail points and factories in Long An, Hanoi, plays a crucial role in the candy industry in Vietnam. SMA stated that the acquisition helps them expand their product portfolio and solidify their global position in the fast-moving consumer goods sector. Over the past 8 years, Bibica under PAN showed little fluctuation in revenue and profit, specifically, in 2024, it achieved a revenue of 1,780.7 billion VND. This transfer is also accompanied by the establishment of Bibica Capital, which assists PAN in the divestment process.
