Cipher raises 1.4 billion USD for Google-related data center construction

On November 7th, Cipher Mining announced that it had raised 1.4 billion USD via high-yield bonds. These 5-year senior secured notes have a yield of 7.125% and are non-callable for the first two years.

Morgan Stanley served as the sole lead underwriter for the bond issuance. The funds will assist in constructing a facility in Barber Lake, Texas, as Cipher and TeraWulf pivot towards data center operations.
