Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, emphasized that cryptocurrency acceptance is crucial for reaching digital economy goals. He called for a national roadmap as a top priority to facilitate this transition.
Citing the National Development Plan, Ghalibaf mentioned that Iran seeks to secure a 10% share in the digital economy. He highlighted that this ambition necessitates regulatory efforts in the cryptocurrency sector.
Ghalibaf urged cooperation from the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the central bank, and other government entities to ensure a regulated framework for cryptocurrency development in Iran.
