Thai Billionaires Pocket Over 35 Trillion VND in Dividends from Vinamilk, Sabeco, Binh Minh Plastic…

At the end of the year, Thai billionaires net nearly 35 trillion VND (1.3 billion USD) in dividends from leading Vietnamese companies like Vinamilk, Sabeco, and Binh Minh Plastic. Vinamilk has proven highly profitable for billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, who received around 16.5 trillion VND in dividends through holdings of over 20% since 2013 after a significant deal with Fraser & Neave.

Likewise, Sabeco contributed 15.5 trillion VND in dividends after he acquired 53.59% of shares for nearly 5 billion USD in 2017, despite currently facing substantial investment losses. Binh Minh Plastic also provided about 3 trillion VND in dividends since Nawaplastic, a Thai company, became a major shareholder in 2012. Overall, Thai billionaires are not only reaping benefits through dividends but also hold substantial value in shares from these companies on the Vietnamese stock market.
