Thai Billionaires Pocket Over 35 Trillion VND in Dividends from Vinamilk, Sabeco, Binh Minh Plastic…

At year-end, it’s the dividend harvest season for Thai billionaires from major companies in Vietnam like Vinamilk, Sabeco, and Binh Minh Plastic. It is estimated they have earned nearly 35 trillion VND (1.3 billion USD) in dividends. Vinamilk brought Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi around 16.5 trillion VND due to its high annual dividend payout ratio of 40-60%. After acquiring Fraser & Neave in 2013, the F&N group became a major shareholder in Vinamilk. Sabeco has also yielded approximately 15.5 trillion VND in dividends for Charoen since its acquisition, despite a temporary loss of about 3.8 billion USD, Charoen maintains a long-term vision in the beer market. Binh Minh Plastic has yielded nearly 3 trillion VND in dividends for Nawaplastic, helping them break even on their initial investment. Besides these three companies, Thai billionaires hold significant stakes in many other businesses on the Vietnamese stock exchange, continuing to attract dividend income.
