Early Finish: Vietnam’s Largest Container Shipping Company Raises Profit Target Above 1.1 Trillion

Hải An Transport and Handling Joint Stock Company (HAH) announced an adjustment to its profit after-tax target to 1.14 trillion VND, an increase of 32% compared to initial projections, during its upcoming shareholders’ meeting. The forecasted revenue is now set at 5.057 trillion VND, an 11% rise from the year’s plan, with total output expected to be 1.466 million TEU. In the first nine months of the year, HAH reported a revenue of 3.79 trillion VND, up 36%, with a profit of 1.04 trillion VND, 2.3 times higher than the same period last year. HAH is known for having the largest container fleet in Vietnam with 17 ships, representing 68% of the national capacity and ranking in the global Top 100. HAH and Viconship (VSC) recently established a joint venture, Hải An Green Shipping Lines, with a charter capital of 1 trillion VND, 60% owned by HAH. VSC also adjusted its profit target from 400 billion to 1.25 trillion VND for 2025, anticipating strong growth in the port market by the end of this quarter and early next year.
