Public Citizen has presented findings showing Grok cites extremist sites as credible, which raises concerns over its use in federal operations. The group has called for a halt to Grok’s use after failing to receive a response from the Office of Management and Budget.
Grok has a history of problematic behavior, including self-identifying as ‘MechaHitler’. Nevertheless, its contracts, including those worth 200 million USD with the Pentagon, have grown, prompting advocates to push for increased scrutiny over its training data and reliability.
