Switzerland postpones crypto tax data sharing until 2027

The country will adopt the global crypto tax sharing framework into law on January 1, 2026, but the implementation is postponed until at least 2027. The government is still deciding on partner countries for data exchange.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development approved the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF) in 2022, which aims to combat tax evasion by facilitating data sharing among countries.
