U.S. SEC enhances regulation on highly leveraged ETFs and halts new 3x to 5x product launches

On December 3, 2023, the SEC took action to strengthen supervision of highly leveraged ETFs due to market instability, warning issuers and preventing new 3x to 5x leveraged products from entering the market.
