Opera and Celo strengthen partnership to make stablecoins useful for millions of users

Opera and the Celo Foundation are broadening their partnership to facilitate low-cost stablecoin payments, aiming for financial inclusion for millions. The initiatives include integrating stablecoin payment cards and organizing a Mini App Roadshow in 2026 across Asia and South America.

MiniPay has rapidly gained traction, achieving 11 million activated wallets and over 300 million transactions since its launch. With its recent integration with Mercado Pago and Brazil’s PIX, stablecoin payments are set to expand further in Latin America.
