The payment giant Stripe has acquired the Valora wallet team in December 2023 to expand its cryptocurrency business. Jackie Bona confirmed the acquisition, emphasizing that Valora’s intellectual properties are retained by its current team.
Valora, launched in 2021, is designed for stablecoins on the CELO blockchain, making cryptocurrency transactions easier. It has partnered with M-Pesa and Tether to boost stablecoin adoption.
