In a meeting of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council, the Director of the Department of Construction announced the city is implementing many key transport projects, including the Metro Can Gio – Ben Thanh line. This project has an investment of about 102.430 trillion VND, managed by Vingroup, covering 54 km with just two terminal stations. Groundbreaking is set for December 19, with approval completed in just two months due to a streamlined process. Travel time between the two stations is expected to be around 13 minutes, with a frequency of every 20 minutes. The construction is anticipated to be completed by 2028, generating around 400 jobs. The project connects 8 suburban districts in HCMC and crosses 4 rivers. The timeframe from concept to approval took less than a year, showcasing efficiency in infrastructure project management.
