JPMorgan Chase reaffirms its expectation that the stablecoin market will fall short of 1 trillion USD by 2028

JPMorgan analysts reaffirm their prediction that the stablecoin market will not reach 1 trillion USD by 2028, estimating it will be between 500 billion and 600 billion USD.

The stablecoin market has grown by about 100 billion USD in 2023, fueled by activities in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, particularly through derivatives trading.

The expanding applications of stablecoins in payments may not drive significant market cap growth, alongside potential competition from central bank digital currency (CBDC) initiatives.
