The Hòa Phát Dung Quất Factory for manufacturing rail and special steel, with an investment capital of over 10 trillion VND, will have a designed capacity of 700,000 tons/year and is being implemented in the Dung Quat Industrial Zone, Quang Ngai. This project aims to launch the first “Made in Vietnam” rail steel product in 2027, a year earlier than planned. Hòa Phát is committed to executing the project on schedule to serve key railway projects, reduce import costs, and create jobs for workers. The factory will apply the latest technology from SMS Group (Germany) and Primetals (UK) to produce high-quality steel products that meet international standards. Chairman Tran Dinh Long emphasized the project’s significance in developing Vietnam’s railway industry and contributing to Hòa Phát’s ambition of becoming one of the top 30 steel companies in the world.
