Kontigo, a digital bank in Latin America, promises to compensate customers after a theft of approximately 340,905 USD in stablecoins

On January 6th, Kontigo disclosed that a hacking incident led to the unauthorized access of customer funds, totaling around 340,905 USD. The bank has vowed to compensate affected users.

Founded in 2023, Kontigo has reached over 1 million active users and facilitated transactions surpassing 1 billion USD. The company has also secured 20 million USD in seed funding from Y Combinator.
