Halong Canned Food Joint Stock Company (Halong Canfoco) has recently been prosecuted for bringing 120 tons of African swine fever infected pork into production. This incident threatens the reputation of a company that has been operating for over 67 years in the food industry. Previously, the company was recognized in the “Top 50 Strong ASEAN Enterprises 2024” list and recorded a net revenue of 471 billion VND in the first nine months of 2025, down 11% year-on-year, but gross profit increased significantly. The company is under pressure to relocate its factory due to planning from the Hai Phong City government and has just approved an investment for a new factory in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Zone worth 166 billion VND. However, the prosecution may impact stock prices and the ability to raise capital for the project.
