South Korean Supreme Court rules Bitcoin on exchanges is subject to seizure

The Supreme Court ruled that Bitcoin stored in exchanges can be sequestered, even if not a physical object, confirming its status as property linked to criminal activity.

This decision stems from the seizure of 55.6 Bitcoin in a money laundering case, affirming South Korea’s regulatory framework on digital assets.
