The FCA indicated that the application process for crypto licenses will begin in September 2026, allowing firms to prepare ahead of the October 2027 deadline for full authorization.
Crypto firms currently registered under regulations must apply for new authorization as existing registrations won’t convert automatically. Missing the application period could result in restricted offerings.
