The stock market at the end of the week witnessed a boom in shares belonging to the Viettel group, including Viettel Global (VGI), Viettel Post (VTP), Viettel Construction (CTR), and Viettel Design (VTK), with all hitting ceiling prices. VGI stock increased nearly 30% year-to-date, and Viettel Global’s market capitalization reached approximately 280 trillion VND, placing it in the top 5 on the exchange. Viettel also announced a robust 13.8% growth in revenue for 2025, with a consolidated revenue of 220.4 trillion VND. Pre-tax profit hit 56.8 trillion VND, with foreign operations growing by 23.9%. Viettel is the largest telecom provider in 7 out of 10 foreign markets. Recent resolution No. 79-NQ/TW identifies the state economy as a dominant sector, aiming for 50 state-owned enterprises among the top 500 largest in Southeast Asia by 2030.
