The stock market at the end of the week saw a strong surge in Viettel stocks. All four stocks of Viettel Global (VGI), Viettel Post (VTP), Viettel Construction (CTR), and Viettel Design (VTK) hit ceiling prices, with VGI rising nearly 30% since the beginning of 2026, pushing Viettel Global’s market capitalization to about 280 trillion VND. Viettel’s business results for 2025 were impressive, with revenue reaching 220.4 trillion VND and pre-tax profit at 56.8 trillion VND. Viettel’s overseas revenue increased by 23.9%, making it the largest telecom operator in 7 countries. According to a new government resolution, state-owned enterprises will play a leading role in economic development, aiming for 50 enterprises to be in the top 500 largest in Southeast Asia and 1-3 in the global top 500 by 2030. By 2045, Vietnam aims to have 5 enterprises in the global top 500.
