74-Year-Old Beverage Legend Reports Losses for 20 Consecutive Quarters, Bankruptcy Risk Due to Nearly 490 Billion VND Debt with Sabeco

Joint Stock Company of Chương Dương Beverages, famous for the brand Sá xị Chương Dương, has reported losses for 20 consecutive quarters, with a total cumulative loss reaching 346.9 billion VND by the end of 2025. Revenue for 2025 declined by 12.5% compared to the previous year, totaling 160.4 billion VND, while after-tax losses increased by 22.5%, surpassing 80 billion VND. The company is bearing a near 490 billion VND debt to Sabeco and has proposed extending unpaid loans due to mounting financial pressures. Interest expenses soared to 43.3 billion VND in 2025, coupled with annual land rental costs of 50 billion VND, generating significant challenges for SCD. Concurrently, the company has initiated a series of high-level personnel changes, dismissing CEO Vũ Thành Chung and appointing Nguyễn Thúy Phượng as the new CEO, even though Chung had only held the position for less than six months.
