Cryptocurrency fraud case concludes with Beijing man sentenced to 46 months for embezzling 36.9 million USD

Su Jingliang, a 46-year-old from Beijing, received a 46-month sentence and is ordered to pay 26.87 million USD after his involvement in a pig butchering scheme that laundered over 36.9 million USD.

The scheme channeled funds from 174 US victims into shell companies, converting them into Tether (USDT). Su acted as the accountant for the operation, using encrypted communications to manage the funds.
