Pomina Steel Reports Largest Loss in 3 Years Despite Lifeline from Vingroup

CTCP Pomina Steel (POM) reported poor financial results for Q4 2025, with revenue down 35% to VND 486 billion. The company incurred a gross loss of VND 6 billion and a net loss of VND 325 billion, increasing its cumulative loss to VND 3.485 trillion. Total assets fell by 10%, and equity was negative VND 623 billion at year-end 2025. Despite receiving a 0% loan from Vingroup, Pomina’s cumulative losses continued to grow. The company reported construction costs of VND 5.7 trillion and debt of VND 9.487 trillion. Vingroup pledged to provide funding and prioritize Pomina’s steel for its projects to support the company’s recovery. After a long period of ineffective operations, Pomina seeks new strategic partnerships but faces challenges in attracting investors. The company’s profit has sharply declined following previously prosperous periods, leading to operational difficulties.
