The Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) has appointed Vu Pham Nguyen An, previously director of Liên Khương Airport, as director of the Long Thành Airport project management board, taking over from Nguyen Tien Viet, who has been prosecuted for violating bidding regulations. Liên Khương Airport is currently suspended for repairs. ACV is also restructuring key leaders for operational stability, with Dao Viet Dung as Party Secretary and Le Van Khien as legal representative. The Long Thành Airport project has a total investment of over 98 trillion VND, and contractors are being urged to comply with project timelines. ACV is preparing for operational phases, including operational models. The Prime Minister has called for resolving issues to ensure ongoing operations and expedite project progress.
