Study: Bitcoin resilient to random subsea cable failures

A new study indicates Bitcoin has proven resilient over the past 11 years against random intercontinental subsea internet cable failures. However, researchers note the network could be vulnerable to coordinated, targeted attacks on multiple cables simultaneously. The analysis suggests 72% of subsea cables would need to fail to significantly impact Bitcoin’s operations.
