India’s Central Bank to introduce offline functionality for CBDC pilot project

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that its Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) pilot project will soon introduce offline functionality, allowing digital rupee users to conduct transactions in areas with internet coverage.

 

This development aims to expand the accessibility and usability of the digital currency, catering to a wider range of users and promoting financial inclusion in the country.
