15 billion USD in crypto pulled out of Kazakhstan due to lack of rules, central bank says

Kazakhstan’s central bank revealed that around 15 billion USD in cryptocurrency has exited the country due to regulatory shortcomings, as reported by Deputy Chairman Berik Sholpankulov.

The Kazakh government is actively working on new regulations aimed at controlling cryptocurrency exchange and addressing illegal transactions abroad.

Due to a rise in foreign mining operations post China’s ban, cryptocurrency activity in Kazakhstan has surged, necessitating urgent regulatory measures to manage this growth.
