During the financial reporting season for the first half of 2025, many firms recorded impressive profit growth rates, with the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEF) topping the list at 8,341%, achieving a pre-tax profit of 19.081 trillion VND due to revenue from the Vinhomes Global Gate project. The National Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) ranked second with a growth of 6,343%, while Saigontel rose by 2,026% from a very low base. The power sector had four representatives, including Buon Don Hydropower (1,477%) and Gia Lai Electricity (400%). The securities group also stood out with LPBank Securities (1,807%) and Haseco (452%). Some companies successfully shifted from losses to profits, such as EVN Genco3 moving from a loss of 942 billion VND to a profit of 987 billion VND. Despite this high growth, the real estate sector saw Novaland at the top of the loss list in H1 2025.
