On September 8, 2025, Vingroup announced the lawsuits against 68 organizations and individuals spreading false information about the company and its chairman, Pham Nhat Vuong. The misleading content primarily related to the group’s financial situation, product quality, and personal details of the leadership. Vingroup stated that such information creates public confusion and affects both personal and corporate reputations, as well as market performance. In the past, Vuong encountered numerous damaging rumors, including one about being banned from exiting the country, which was later dismissed by authorities. In early 2023, an individual who shared false information about his support for an artist was fined. Currently, Vuong’s fortune has reached 13.4 billion USD, securing his position among Vietnam’s wealthiest individuals. Vingroup has undertaken legal actions to protect its legitimate rights against these false claims.
