600,000 transactions worth 4 trillion VND occurred outside banks, what is the truth?

Mr. Doan Van Hieu Em, a member of the Board of Directors of Mobile World, stated that after 6 months of implementing cash deposit and withdrawal services at supermarkets, there have been nearly 600,000 transactions with a total value of nearly 4 trillion VND. MWG and VPBank signed a strategic cooperation agreement, establishing the first official payment agency model in Vietnam, according to a decision from the State Bank of Vietnam. VPBank provides financial services, while MWG connects services at Mobile World and Dien May Xanh stores, allowing customers to conduct financial transactions with their ID cards at any bank. This cooperation enhances convenience for customers in financial transactions. In terms of revenue, in the first 5 months of 2025, MWG recorded revenue of 61.229 trillion VND (up 13%), with total revenue from TGDĐ and ĐMX nearly 41 trillion. The online channel reached nearly 2.6 trillion, accounting for 6% of total revenue. As of the end of May, the Bách Hóa Xanh chain opened an additional 410 stores, totaling 2,180 stores.
