As of July 18, 2025, the total market capitalization of the Vietnamese stock market is nearly 8.3 trillion VND, with 8 ‘clans’ holding 2.4 trillion VND, accounting for 29% of the total capitalization. Leading is Vingroup with four stocks VIC, VHM, VRE, VEF having a capitalization of 1.11 trillion VND, representing 45% of the group and 13% of the total market. Following Vingroup, Masan Group and FPT also have high capitalizations, but only achieve 540 trillion VND and 309 trillion VND respectively. Vingroup’s market capitalization has increased by 186% compared to the beginning of the year, while T&T and Hoang Huy have also posted strong growths of 69% and 86%. However, some of GELEX’s stocks have been delisted for not meeting public company criteria. The market is watching the growth of these ‘clans’, especially as the VN-Index approaches the historical milestone of 1,500 points.
