850 Trillion Valuation: Where Does Vingroup Stand Among the Largest Giants in Southeast Asia?

Vingroup (ticker VIC) currently boasts a valuation of 850 trillion VND (~31 billion USD), making it the largest publicly listed company in Vietnam and ranking 12th in the list of the 15 largest market capitalization giants in Southeast Asia as of October 28th. Vingroup has set several remarkable valuation milestones, surpassing both Vietcombank and BIDV. In the top 15, Singapore leads with prominent representatives like DBS Group (valuation of 118 billion USD). Indonesia has five companies, with Bank Central Asia being the largest at 61 billion USD. Thailand has three businesses, with Delta Electronics being the largest. Although Vietnam is dubbed the “new tiger of Asia,” the number of significant enterprises remains limited, with Vietcombank not reaching 20 billion USD. Nevertheless, Vietnam is expected to see more large companies in the future, aiming to become an international financial center.
