KLB shares of Kien Long Commercial Bank surged 14.94% on September 16, reaching VND 27,700 per share, with trading volume increasing 2.4 times compared to the previous session, reaching nearly 1.9 million units. This is the highest price in four years, pushing the market capitalization over VND 10 trillion. KLB shares previously dipped below VND 10,000 in April, but news of a 60% stock dividend propelled prices to rise continuously. Kienlongbank has submitted a listing registration for more than 365 million shares on HoSE and will close the register for dividend rights on September 25, 2025.
Conversely, the general stock market saw significant decline. The VN-Index fell 4 points to 1,680.9 due to investors “taking profits” in many stock groups, especially real estate. Many large caps like VIC, VHM, and HPG also declined, putting pressure on the VN-Index. However, some large-cap stocks like CTG, MBB, and HVN recorded slight increases.
