A series of businesses investing hundreds of billions in stocks: Gelex and REE primarily investing in bank stocks, TVC has sold nearly 95% of its portfolio

In Q2/2025, many listed companies have invested hundreds of billions to trillions of VND in stocks, mainly bank stocks. Danang Investment and Development Company (NDN) invested VND 524.3 billion in securities, accounting for 42.3% of total assets, with a portfolio of 15 stocks, notably Vinhomes and Hoa Phat. Profits from stock investments help improve NDN’s financial situation.
Từ Liêm Urban Development JSC (NTL) also invested VND 364.1 billion, representing 18.6% of total assets, in stocks like TCH and PAN. Conversely, Trí Việt Asset Management Corporation (TVC) has cut nearly 95% of its investment portfolio.
GELEX Group (GEX) invested VND 5.012 trillion in securities, mostly in stocks, especially EIB. Vietnam Container Shipping Corporation (VSC) has increased its stock investment by 2.5 times to VND 1.404 trillion. Lastly, Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE) invests VND 933 billion, mainly in International Bank of Vietnam (VIB).
