In the first half of 2025, many companies experienced significant profit declines compared to the same period in 2024, with some almost losing 100% of their profits. Vinaship (VNA) and Nhà Từ Liêm (NTL) reported dramatic drops in pre-tax profit from 35 billion to 400 million VND and from 844 billion to 12 billion VND, respectively. The reasons include market difficulties and unstable supply sources. Hòa Bình (HBC) reported a profit of 57 billion VND, a 93% decrease compared to the previous year. The securities sector saw prominent companies like VDSC (-97%), Trí Việt (-94%), and APG (-86%) also facing drastic profit reductions. Additionally, other companies like NSH Petro, Novaland, and Cảng Phước An reported significant losses in the first half of the year.
