A “Viglacera” company becomes the first to report a loss in Q1, surprising stock increase of 14%

CTCP Viglacera Đông Triều (DTC) recently announced its Q1 2025 financial report, showing a revenue of 25 billion VND, down 22.9% year-on-year and a pre-tax loss of 5.9 billion VND. DTC is the first company to report a loss in the first quarter of 2025. However, its stock surged by 13.5% to 4,200 VND/share during trading on April 10. As of the end of 2024, DTC has a cumulative loss of 88 billion VND, reducing its equity to only 13.3 billion VND. The auditing entity warned about the company’s ability to continue operations. DTC was delisted to trade on Upcom since late March 2025. At the 2025 Annual General Meeting, the company set a revenue target of 185 billion VND, a 30% increase from 2024, while still expecting a pre-tax loss of about 15 billion VND. The company has decided not to pay dividends for 2024 and 2025, with the last dividend payout being in 2021.
