Arizona Governor vetoes bill to make Bitcoin part of state reserves

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs vetoed a bill to allow Bitcoin investments in state reserves. Expressing concerns over public funds being used for untested assets, she emphasized the importance of sound investments for retirement funds.

Despite gaining majority support in the state House, the Digital Assets Strategic Reserve bill was rejected. A related bill, permitting investment of a portion of state funds into digital assets, awaits a final vote.
