Arthur Hayes warns Monad might plummet by 99%, labels it as a high-risk venture capital coin

Arthur Hayes cautions that Monad’s design could lead to a drastic 99% decline, labeling it a high-risk venture capital coin. He urges investors to be aware of the inherent risks associated with its token structure, reflecting the speculative nature of venture capital-driven projects.

Hayes predicts that most new layer-1 networks will fail, with only a small number, including Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and Zcash, likely to endure long-term. He envisions that privacy technologies will gain more traction in the crypto market as well.

Despite his warnings, Hayes remains bullish about the overall crypto market, driven by upcoming monetary expansions. He believes that as liquidity increases, interest in cryptocurrencies will rise, particularly in Ethereum through privacy technologies and stablecoins.
